Cancellation & Refunds

1. When a booking is confirmed

An enquiry or planner submission is not a confirmed booking. A slot is confirmed only when Newtown Podcast Studio sends written confirmation and any stated advance or payment requirement has been completed.

2. Client cancellation or rescheduling

Please request any change as early as possible by phone, WhatsApp, or email. Rescheduling is subject to studio, crew, and equipment availability.

Refund or transfer eligibility depends on the written terms supplied for the booking, work already completed, and non-recoverable costs already committed for the project. Third-party rentals, travel, custom set materials, freelance crew, or other non-recoverable costs may be deducted where they were approved or reasonably required for the confirmed scope.

3. Late arrival and missed sessions

Late arrival does not automatically move the booked end time. The studio will try to use the remaining time effectively, but an extension depends on availability and may carry an extra charge. A missed session or no-show is handled according to the written booking confirmation and may not be eligible for refund where the studio and resources were reserved.

4. Cancellation or change by the studio

If Newtown Podcast Studio must cancel or materially change a confirmed session for reasons within its control, it will offer a reasonable alternative date or refund the amount paid for services that cannot be supplied. This does not include unrelated or indirect expenses unless required by applicable law.

For events outside reasonable control—such as severe weather, building restrictions, power disruption, illness, transport interruption, government action, or similar events—the parties will first try to reschedule or agree on a practical alternative.

5. Refund processing

Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment route where practical. Processing time can depend on the bank, payment provider, and required account checks. Any timing estimate communicated by the studio begins after refund approval and receipt of the information needed to process it.

6. Editing, pre-production, and custom work

Editing, scripting, design, set preparation, rentals, and other custom work already completed before cancellation may remain chargeable. If only part of a project is cancelled, the studio may provide completed work and adjust the final account to reflect services performed and approved commitments.

7. GST and adjustments

Website prices are exclusive of GST. Refunds, credit notes, or revised invoices will reflect GST treatment required under applicable Government of India policy.

Include your name, booked date, project or show name, and the change requested.
